Eddie Mack Adams, Jr. also known as “Fast Eddie” was born on May 29, 1939 in Lewisville, Arkansas to the late Mabel Dean Harper and late Eddie Mack Adams, Sr.
In 1960, Eddie volunteered to become a part of the United States Army. He had a two year commitment and two years on reserved stand by. Eddie received an honorary discharge on July 31, 1964.
Eddie met Leecester (Lee) Blanche in 1963 and was married on May 30, 1965 and to this union two children were born. Eddie and Lee lived in Redwood City for 29 years. They moved to Elk Grove in 2001 where they have lived for 14 years.
Eddie graduated from Menlo Atherton High School and attended San Jose State University. He completed two years of prerequisite courses. He had a demanding schedule working and attending school full-time. He decided to focus on working where he developed great skills working with people. Eddie always had a love for music and landed a sales position with KSOL radio. After working at KSOL for three years he was offered a position at Liberty United Records as a Sales Promotion Manager. While working at Liberty United Records Ike and Tina Turner offered him a position as their Promotion and Tour Manager. Eddie decided that he would venture out and start his own business, West Sounds, Inc. He was blessed for 30 years with a successful business. In 2000, West Sounds, Inc. was closed due to the redevelopment in the area. Eddie decided to semi-retire and work part-time. He worked as an armed security guard for Wackenhut; stationed at Jared Jewelry store. Eddie completely retired from Wackenhut in 2014 but soon after became bored staying at home. He dedicated two days a week to play golf and spent time on the river fishing.
Eddie was always reading the bible. He didn’t miss a day. He was very dedicated to researching and interpreting scriptures, and trying to get a better understanding of the bible.
Eddie departed this life on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 on his grandson Kenden’s birthday. After 50 years of marriage he leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Leecester Adams, four children; three daughters, Leah Robinson of San Diego; Keelee Adams of Hayward, CA; Imani Adams Grant of Elk Grove, CA; one son, Kaalo Adams of Elk Grove, CA; son-in-law, Kevin Grant of Elk Grove, CA; Crystal Ramie (partner, Keelee Adams) of Hayward, CA; two grandsons, Ahmad Robinson of San Diego, CA and Kenden Grant of Elk Grove, CA; step mother, Della Mae Adams of Lewisville, AK; three sisters, late Mary Helen Thomas of Lewisville, AK; late Dean Givens of Lewisville, AK; Gwen Adams of Lewisville, AK; three brothers, Kenny Adams of Lewisville, AK; Greg Adams of Portage, MI; Michael Adams of Houston, TX; sister-in-law, Edna Blakey of Stockton, CA; three brother-in-laws, Ross Blanche of New Orleans, LA; Earnest Blanche of New Orleans, LA; Charles Blanche of Houston, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
