Earlene Milon Richardson

Born October 29, 1923 in Lincoln, Alabama, passed away July 7, 2019 in Citrus Heights, California at the age of 95. She was a highly decorated Army Veteran of WWII and the Korean conflict. After her Military career Earlene, and her husband Nelson Richardson moved to the Bay Area and resided in Berkeley, CA. with there son Carvin where there was many friends and family. She was a proud College Graduate from Cal State Hayward. While working in the Berkeley Unified School District where she worked 20 years and she achieved many awards for working with the children. When she finally retired, she really enjoyed picking fruit, fishing, working in the garden, and traveling. She attended church regularly at 1st Baptist Church, and was a God fearing woman. She will greatly missed by her loving son Carvin, her grandson Rex (Marielle) Richardson and great grandson Xavier Richardson, her grand daughters Kayla Richardson, Onica Richardson, & Destyne Richardson, nieces Gloria Gleason, Earlene Richardson, Ruby Jackson and Donna Lewis, nephews Lamar Nelson, Alfred Nelson, Aaron Lewis & Ariel Lewis. She is now at rest the same week as her step-sister Ruby Jackson. Preceded in death by her parents Emma and Fred Milon, her 1st husband Joseph Reid, who was shot down in the Korean conflict, and husband Nelson Richardson whom she married in 1958, her sisters Sara, Bell, Ophelia and Step sister Ruby Jackson. Please come and celebrate her life with a chapel service on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 10:0am at the East Lawn Mortuary chapel at 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA 95841
