Dylan Rand Allingham

Jun 7, 2007 - Jun 3, 2019

Dylan Rand Allingham passed away at home with his parents by his side on June 3, 2019 just a few days before his 12th birthday. Dylan fought a courageous battle against Batten’s Disease.
Dylan was born on June 7, 2007 to his proud parents Jon and Lisa Allingham. Along with Dylan came sister Megan and brother Ryan – triplets! Before Batten’s took over Dylan’s body, he was an energetic kid who loved sports. He played soccer and t-ball with his siblings and had a pretty impressive golf swing for a 3-year-old. He loved playing on the Wii with Ryan and watching the San Francisco Giants on TV. Dylan was a little jokester and always made everyone laugh. Dylan was able to attend school up until a few months before his passing. He loved going camping at Lake Tahoe and taking trips to Disneyland to see his favorite Buzz Lightyear. He loved bike rides around our neighborhood and snuggling on the couch watching his favorite Disney movies.
Dylan was preceded in death by his big brother Jacob who was waiting for him in Heaven. In addition to his father and mother, Dylan is survived by his sister Megan and brother Ryan, great-grandparents, Cleo Sisler, and Don and Linda Nickerson. He is also survived by his grandparents Tom and Lynn Davis, and Gary and Fran Allingham. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles, Heather and David Nelson, Chris and Julie Allingham, Larisa and Ken Pistorio, Dan and Amy Allingham, Mark Allingham, Jeff and Brittany Allingham, and Amy Allingham. Additionally, he leaves behind first cousins Oliva, Mattingly, Nathan and Derek Nelson, Michael and Matthew Hamlin, Tristan Spaeth, Jace, Gavin and Kaitlin Allingham, Grace Allingham and Lily and Harper Allingham, as well as numerous other extended family members.

The family will receive friends from four until eight o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, June 19th at the East Lawn Elk Grove Chapel. Memorial services will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, June 20th at Creekside Christian Church with a reception to follow. The family will have a private interment.

  • Mark Allingham says:

Dylan is the high five master! He hits the high five so hard. I’ll never forget the excitement in his eyes when he would wind up again for another high five that would most certainly surpass the last! I love you Dylan. I’ll see you again soon!

  • Bonnie Wade says:

Dylan was born into a wonderful and amazing family. I know that for sure. He is also part of God’s Eternal Family. I am certain that I will finally get the meet him when I meet Jesus.

  • Jeff Allingham says:

I will always remember Dylan’s ear to ear smile and joyful excitement to see his family when we got together. As uncle Mark said he gave awesome high fives too, I for sure remember those stinging slaps he’d dole out one after another. I look forward to seeing Dylan and his big brother Jacob restored to perfect health in heaven some day. Thank you Lord for the time we had with these sweet boys. These two boys are forever in our hearts, and truly forever in His arms.

So sorry for your loss. May your family find comfort in the hope at Rev 21:4 which says: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away”.
