He is loved and survived by his son Andrew Connor, his parents, Jack Connor and Donna Futrell, Step father and business partner Shaun Futrell. Siblings, Corey Connor, Janel Connor, Matt Connor, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, & grandparents.
Many thanks to PCSO, Yuba County, Amador County, Eldorado County, Sacramento County, South Lake Tahoe and Santa Clara County dive teams and officers, Chaplains Tanya and Dave, Gary, owner of Camp Far West lake for all the hard work that went into bringing Dusty home.
Last but certainly not least, thank you to all the amazing family and friends that have supported us, cried with us, and helped us in so many ways during this difficult time. You are all greatly appreciated.

What an amazing young man Dustin was in his short life. He was so fun loving and family oriented. He loved his son Andrew beyond words. He insisted that Andrew carry his last name and I am proud to have been part of that request as his attorney. He was one of kind and will be sorely missed and remembered forever. I saw Dusty about 2 months ago in the morning ( after mass) at the California Club. He had a big dog in his big truck and of course a gal nearby. We hugged and toasted to a good life… My condolence to Andrew and his entire family…

This hit me hard! Like a ton of bricks right at my chest! I always knew you had a heart of gold, and that’s the main reason I married you! I’ll never forget how scared shitless we were, but we did it anyway! Got hitched on my Birthday! & although our marriage didn’t last more than 5 years, I feel good about that time still, and also, I gained some beautiful family members through it too! I still & always will hold you near & dear to my heart! & don’t worry, I’ll hug them so big for you! I always wanted only happiness for you, only wished you lots of love and good times! I will always love you Dusty! Until we meet again, please give my Momma a hug for me in heaven!! You have so many here on earth who loved you like crazy! Makes my heart warm! RIP Dusty

  • Harry Jones says:

I just went to SOS Marine for a part for the boat and that is how I learned of Dusty’s passing. I am shocked and saddened by this news. I didn’t know him as well as others but as a customer of his for over 16 years I will never forget how he always made time for me and my boat problems for the right price… A 30 pack of coors light always will get things done faster he would say always putting a smile on my face and my nerves at ease as I knew he would be fair and honest and not screw us over. I always bragged about him to other boat owners to bring their boat to Dusty and SOS Marine and they would take good care of them. Just bring some coors light for Dusty I would say… My condolences to the family. He made a difference to even those he wasn’t close to. The parents did a great job raising him. He is a good man… Harry Jones
