Douglas Kent Thorman

Mar 5, 1973 - Aug 11, 2020

Obituary

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Doug Thorman, age 47, our most beloved son, brother, family member and friend passed suddenly at his home.

Those who knew Doug even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.  Doug was employed by the Consumnes River Fire Department as a Logistic Technician making sure the firefighters and EMTs received critical supplies.  He has many great friends there as well as friends from the Elk Grove Unified School District, where he was previously employed.

Doug will be missed everyday by his Father, Denny Thorman, his brother Robert, his sister Denise, his step mother Vicky, his nieces and nephews, his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many great friends.

We know Doug is now with his loving mother Sue Thorman who preceded him in death in 1998.  Being the youngest child he and his mother had a special bond, and he never stopped grieving for her.

Although he was at times shy and quiet, Doug had an infectious smile and the ability to make people love him.

We LOVE and MISS you so much.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to the American Cancer Society.

Graveside services will be held at East Lawn Cemetery in Elk Grove August 24, 2020 at 10AM.
