Obituary

Doreen L. Martinelli of Sacramento passed away peacefully at the age of 88 at home on September 1, 2014. She married Nicholas Martinelli Jr. on April 16, 1950 in Sacramento, Ca at Saint Mary’s church. Together they were the proud parents of three children, Lynn Martinelli, Patricia Greilich and Stephen Martinelli, and survived by 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and adopted family also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Doreen spent her years always on the go whether it was taking care of her family and friends, gardening around the house, or spending time with her animals. Doreen was a very active woman in her younger years she loved to ride and jump horses at the riding stables. Also she loved to play golf where she joined the Bing Maloney woman’s golf club. She also joined a bowling league with her dearly departed daughter Patty where they had a lot of great times. Everyone who knew Doreen knows that she definitely wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. She was a very tough lady and during her last years she finally started to slow down having been blessed by the help of a beautiful woman Frances who became a very important part of the family many thanks to you. Doreen was a very beautiful strong willed woman and will be missed by so many. Services will take place at Andrews & Greilich Mortuary, 3939 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA 95820 Friday September 12th 2014 at 11:00 am. Reception will follow at the Dante Club of Sacramento at 2330 Fair Oaks Blvd. Also there will be a viewing on Thursday September 11th from 4 to 8 pm for those that want to spend a little more time saying goodbye.
