Donald passed away February 7th. He is survived by his loving, caring and devoted wife Ada, son Gregory and wife Janice Milliken of Denair, CA; son William and wife Ann Milliken of Bath, ME; daughter Gayle and husband Eual Blansett of Stockton, CA; daughter Tricia and husband Phil Lloyd – Sidle of Louisville, KY; daughters Lenore Cantrell of Sonoma, CA, Shannon Cantrell of Eugene, OR and son Wesley Cantrell of Aspen, CO; daughter Kristen McClure; eleven wonderful grand children, eight great grand children and many other relatives and friends across this great land.
Donald was born December 29, 1925 in Oakland, CA and raised in Piedmont. He served in the Army Air Corps during WW2. He attended Stanford University and earned his engineering degree at the University of Colorado.
Don enjoyed his 40 working years as an automatic control systems engineer as well as an engineering technology instructor at Sacramento City College. He also enjoyed traveling all over the United States and Canada in the fifth-wheel trailer, golfing, gardening and model railroading.
Don was a member of ASHRAE, SVEL, F & AM and Carmichael Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Friday February 17 in the Chapel at East Lawn , 4300 Folsom Blvd.
