Obituary

VonAlvensleben, Richard Keith (Dick)
Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather has lost his long hard fight to cancer on April 8, 2018.
Dick was born April 28, 1940 in Carmichael, CA and raised by his two loving parents Keith and
Margaret. After losing his mother in 1951, his father moved to Los Gatos with his three children,
Dick, Pat and Mike. Dick attended Los Gatos High School and was a Wildcat football player.
He met his beautiful wife Diane and they were married April 15, 1960. On October 1, 1962, he
started his career as a Los Gatos Firefighter. He retired in 1995 and moved to Chester, CA. with
his “bride” as he always referred to his wife Diane. He was neighbors with his high school best friend Bud Bosworth and wife Jan, as well as his brother Mike and
wife Shiela. Golfing, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, yard work and being a part of the Elks Club were some
of his favorite hobbies. Although he loved his family most and attended the grandchildren events including, football, soccer, baseball and basketball, he was there cheering them on.
There are many fond memories with our the family and friends spending Christmas, New Years Eve, Thanksgiving and
Fourth of July at the Lake Almanor. The Lake was Dick’s favorite place where so many beautiful family vacations are remembered growing up.
In 2014 Dick and Diane moved to Del Web Community in Roseville so he could
be close to his son’s and daughter’s families. Dick was loved by all and he cherished his family, friends and
neighbors.

Dick is survived by his wife Diane, two children Margaret and Richard, five grandchildren Tyler, Kai, Logan, Ryan and Ashley, and daughter-in-law
Tiffani. We all love Dick and he leaves behind a great legacy for generations to come. You are loved and missed dearly!
