Diana Fay Watkins
May 23, 1947 - Aug 4, 2014
Diana Fay Watkins was born on May 23rd, 1947 in Sacramento to Frank and Goldie Lasswell. She transitioned early morning August 4th, 2014 in her home, surrounded by family, after a brief, grace-filled journey through Stage IV Sarcoma. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jim, her sister Sharon Lea Wright, and her children, Zachary Watkins and Sarah Troedson. She was a Librarian for the State of California, and the Cosumnes River College. The Doll Artisan Guild certified her as a Master of Doll Making. She delighted and awed family and friends with skill and artistry in recreating antique porcelain dolls. An accomplished quilter and seamstress, Diana never hesitated to offer her skills to others. Her smile and laughter were infectious. Always fond of nature, she loved national parks particularly Yosemite and the Asilomar State Beach. Family and friends will hold a private service. There is an online memorial at http://diana-fay-watkins.forevermissed.com/ where those who knew her are invited to share thoughts, memories, and kind words for the family.
