Deanna Rae Sinatra

Sep 14, 1941 - Jun 2, 2019

Deanna Rae Sinatra, a longtime resident of Sacramento, CA born September 14, 1941 made her heavenly journey home on June 02, 2019. Deanna preceded in death by her loving husband Larry Sinatra, her sister Marsha Kay Bjornson, and her parents, Selmer and Sarah Bjornson. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her children, Marsha (Richard) Hefner, Cindy Sinatra and Wendy (Tim) Santos, by her grandchildren, Erik Ryan Lewis, Matthew Richard Hefner and Brandon Dale Santos. She will also be missed by her sister Kathy (Robert) Zemansky and as well by her nephew David Zemansky. She held a special place in her heart for each one of her grandsons as well as they did for her. Mom enjoyed going to Marsha and Richard’s house, sitting on their patio enjoying a cup of coffee, conversations, taking in the beauty of the patio flowers, fresh air with Hayleigh laying at her feet and their trips to Second Sunday. Mom also enjoyed her visits to Spokane, Washington to visit Cindy and Erik. She loved sitting outside on the patio watching the baby osprey up in the backyard nest, trips to Montana, the snow at Christmas time, the lilac gardens, going to pig out in the park and mom’s favorite past time shopping. Mom also enjoyed going over to Tim and Wendy’s for what she called “The Best Coffee Ever” for a Tim Buck’s, her annual trips to Apple Hill in the fall, annual opening day trips to the California State Fair which always included a trip to IHOP for breakfast, going out to dinner at Lucille’s and watching mom enjoy her BBQ Ribs.

We will all miss mom/grandma deeply but this is not goodbye. We will see you soon.
Love Always and Forever,
Marsha, Richard and Matthew
Cindy and Erik
Wendy, Tim and Brandon

Deanna and I were best friends in high school and lived down the street from one another. I have so many fond memories…… the two of us rolling our hair on orange juice cans, experimenting with make-up….running through the colors on the Clairol chart. Even getting into a bit of mischief now and then! I remember her parents were just the best and her home was always so peaceful and quiet. I was Deanna’ maid of honor when she and Larry married in 1959 at the Wedding Chapel on Fair Oaks Blvd. Life subsequently took us in different directions until about five years ago when we rekindled our friendship over many memorable lunches and phone calls. She was, and will always be, one of my most treasured friends. I will miss her. My condolences and warmest thoughts to her family. She was so proud of all of you. Sincerely, Barbara Debert (nee Corbett)

So sorry for your loss. May your family find comfort in the hope at Rev 21:4 which says: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away”.
