Daylene Anderson Wood
Retired SFPD
Born November 15, 1954, passed peacefully October 24, 2012. Daylene is survived by her parents Dale and Virginia Anderson, sister Lynn Young, her loving longtime partner Jackie Riche; Auntie to Charlie and Danielle, Great Auntie to Hunter and Levi, niece to Uncle Kieran & Aunt Helen Mae and many cousins & friends.
Daylene attended school in
Loomis CA, graduating Cum Laude from Del Oro High in 1973, lived in Hawaii for two yrs then moved to San Francisco. In 1981 she joined the San Francisco Police Dept, a job she loved and where she made many lifelong friends. She received citations for exemplary performance during the 1989 earthquake; physical fitness training, unit
citation for exceptional performance, and numerous letters from organizations and citizens for meritorious actions in the performance of her duties thru-out her career. She retired at the rank of Sergeant in 2004. A
memorial service will be held November 10, 2012 at 2:00pm at East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial Park, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sac CA, with a Celebration of Life immediately following at Brookfield’s Restaurant, 4343 Madison Ave, Sac. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Bay Area Law Enforcement Fund, PO Box 31764, San Francisco, CA 94131
