David Lee Keelor

May 23, 1947 - May 25, 2011


David Lee Keelor, 64, died at home in the presence of family on May 25, 2011 after a short, but hard fought battle with lung cancer. Born May 23, 1947 in Modesto, CA to the late Russell and Joyce (Robirds) Keelor. Preceded in death by Ida (Ogg) Keelor. Dave is survived by his loving wife Lisa Dangberg Keelor, sister Cathy (Carlos) Campaz, daughter Lisa (Keith) Gall, son David Keelor and grandson Gavin Gall. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephew as well as his best friend and business partner of 20 years Curt (Karen) Hennessee.

Dave graduated from Thomas Downey High School in Modesto, CA, and then enlisted in the Army serving from 1966-1969 in Fairbanks, AK. After service, he enrolled at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo while working at Safeway where he was a loyal employee for 13 years. For the past 20 years, Dave has been a hard working and proud co-owner of Allied Finishing in Sacramento, CA. In that time the company provided some of the finest finishes for cabinetry and woodwork in hundreds of homes throughout Northern California as well as providing custom finishing for thousands of entry ways and room doors for Hotels and Commercial buildings including the Paris, Venetian and Mandalay Bay Hotels in Las Vegas; the Embassy Suites, Sheraton Grand and Marriott’s Sunrise in Sacramento and thousands more furnishings from New York, to Hawaii, to Japan.

Dave was an avid Oakland A’s and Raiders fan as well as a long time Sacramento River Cats Founders Club season ticket holder. His other passion, which turned into a 20 year tradition, was shooting pool with his son and close friends every Friday night.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 9th at 2: 00 pm at East Lawn Elk Grove, Memorial Park and Mortuary.

    I remember the times we (cousins)aunts, uncles spent @ the Robirds Farm in Hughson -Those were wonderful times. My how things have change. I pray the remaining family members will be comforted
