It has been one of the great pleasures in my life to have known and worked with such a wonderful man as Darryl for 17 years. His outlook on work, life and family was truly inspirational and I know he has touched the lives of many people in his short time on this earth. He was always happy and made all around him smile. Rest in peace my friend, you will be greatly missed.

I had the honor of working with Darryl for many years at Citibank & Cal Fed and I was saddened and shocked to hear about his passing. Ill best remember Darryl’s great personality and the funny jokes he played on his co-workers, along with his infectious laugh and his great big smile that could light up a room. Im so sorry for your loss. He will surely be missed by many.

Darryl I will miss you. I will miss running into you in the halls at work. You always had a smile on your face and nothing but kind things to say and add to a rough day!! My daughter Arielle sends a smile of her remembrance for the yummy cookies you brought to work and shared with all. Good Bye Our Firend.

  • Gail O'Brien says:

To Darryl’s family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Darryl was a wonderful person to work with and always brought a smile to his team’s face..just by being here. He touched many lives here at the bank…in so many ways. Eventhough Darryl is gone from our sight…he will always have a special place in our hearts.

  • Lorna Burke says:

I knew Darryl for so many years working at the bank, as so many of us did (and I knew his brother-in-law, Troy, even before that in our First Nationwide Bank days in San Francisco). Darryl had the biggest, warmest smile, and heartiest laugh, and I will always remember and appreciate that. He was a good man and wonderful person. Sending warm thoughts and condolences to his friends and family.

  • Fran Chan says:

Darryl, its been my pleasure to have known you all these years, to have the opportunity to work with you, to hear your laughter, and to just be your friend. You are going to be missed by me and everyone. Rest in peace, my friend.

  • Gayle Perry says:

To Darryl’s family, I worked with Darryl for 10 years between CalFed and Citibank. I actually had the priviledge of sitting next to him for about 3 years. He was such a warm and funny man. Someone who everybody liked and respected. I was so saddened and shocked to hear of his illness and passing. I remember Darryl bringing his kids on “bring your kids to work day”. He was very proud of his kids, and spoke highly of his wife and family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Gayle Perry

  • Jenny Arellano says:

Darryl, I’ll miss the good sense of humor, the brownies made by your wife you were so proud to bring to us, the animal cookies you had for snacks and share with us; but the most I’ll miss will be you my friend. Until we meet again. My prayers go out to your family.

  • Nicole Deollas says:

It was an honor to attend Darryl’s service today and share in the personal side of his life that we don’t always get to see as co-workers. He was a blessed man with a beautiful family and loved by many. Darryl was a valued member of our team and will be dearly missed. Prayers of comfort and peace for his wife and family.
