Corsino Pangilinan Vasquez

Corsino Vasquez, a 30 -year resident of Sacramento, died on April 16, 2012. He was born in Manila, Philippines on March 1940 to Ramon and Filomena Vasquez and was one of three children. He attended high school and received his business administration degree from San Sebastian College in Manila. He and his wife Aurora were married in 1967. He worked at Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina and then the Central Bank of the Philippines in Manila. He immigrated to the US in 1978 with his family and eventually settled in Sacramento. He worked for Wells Fargo Bank regional headquarters in San Francisco until he retired. He enjoyed gardening and had a very green thumb. He loved animals. He enjoyed listening to the Beatles, Frank Sinatra, and Johnny Mathis. His family and faith were the most important things to Corsino. He is survived by his wife Aurora, sons Victor, Ramon and David, grandson Isaiah, sister Carmel, and nieces, nephews and extended family in the Philippines, the US, Australia and Canada.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Corsino’s life. Viewing will be at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., in Elk Grove on Friday, April 20, 5-7 PM and on Saturday, April 21, 9-9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 9539 Racquet Ct., in Elk Grove at 10 AM on Saturday, April 21 followed by burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Sacramento.
