Collin Bernard Wick

Collin B. Wick made his transition on June 3, 2017 in Sacramento at the age of 93. Born in Prince Albert Canada he moved to the Sacramento area in 1927. Collin attended Elk Grove High School and served in the Army Air corps during WWII driving in the Red Ball Express Company. He worked at Made Rite Sausage Co. when he returned from the war and was co-owner of “The Country Nursery School” on Gerber Rd with his wife Nettie M. Wick till 1986. He served on the board of the Florin Historical Society, and was a member of the S.I.R.S.
Collin was preceded in death by his wife Nettie M. Wick, and his granddaughter Wendy Adams. He is survived by his daughter Carolyn Adams, his son Craig Wick and daughter in law Taylor, his grandson Mick Adams, his great grandson Zachary Adams, granddaughter in law SaraJane and his great-great grandson Ryan Kyle Adams.
Services will be held June 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary, 9189 East Stockton Blvd. in Elk Grove, CA.

    Sending condolences to Collins family. He was a very special man and always so pleasant. He will be missed. We missed seeing him at the Florin Historical Meeting every month since he wasn’t driving anymore. Sending prayers and thoughts!!.
