Obituary

Clifford (Pinky) A. Lungstrom of Sacramento, CA passed peacefully on May 9, 2017 at the age of 78 after many years of declining health. He was preceded in death by his wonderful wife Sharon, parents Clifford and Jane, and brothers Richard and Rodney.

He is survived by his daughter Linda Mangum (husband Greg), grandchildren Alanna and Olivia Sowles and Thomas and Johnathan Mangum, sister-in-law Sherlyn, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Born in Portola, CA, on October 24, 1938, he resided the first 6 years of his life in Blairsden, CA before relocating to Sacramento where he remained throughout his life. Clifford was a proud veteran who served in the Army before returning to Sacramento where he worked at several trades, particularly lumber, prior to his early medical retirement in the 80’s. He was a talented, self-taught man who could build everything from furniture to cars to houses.

After his retirement, he remained busy puttering with projects around the house and doting on his 4 grandchildren whom he adored. His grandchildren remember him lovingly for his daily batch of chocolate chip cookies which were always ready after picking them up from school everyday.

Services will be privately held on Friday, May 19 at 1 p.m. at Mohawk Cemetery, Graeagle, CA. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If interested contact Linda Mangum at llmangum2013@gmail.com for details.
