Obituary
Cheryl Kay Refuerzo, born May 29, 1947, peacefully passed away on February 18, 2017 in Sacramento, California. She retired from the Department of Water Resources as the Chief Administrative Officer in the Division of Operations and Management after 36 years of total service. She is survived by her daughter Brigette Martinez; grandsons Hunter Jury and Jace Martinez; sister Virginia Hopper and husband Ken; nephew Vincent Thomas and great nephew Nathan Thomas. She is also survived by a very special family friend, Delores Brown. She also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends. Her death is preceded by her parents, Bernard and Lenore Manic; infant daughter Courtney Brooke Mariko Hayashida and her brother Bernard “Bee” Manic, Jr.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM at East Lawn 4300 Folsom Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95624. Private Services.
