Charlotte Stout

Born Oct. 5, 1921 in NYC, NY to John C. and Helen L. Meyer; passed away in Sacramento CA Sep. 20, 2011. When Charlotte was 2 her family moved to Oakland CA. She graduated from Castlemont H.S. in 1939 then attended Heald College. Charlotte began her career with the Federal Government at Alameda Naval Supply. In 1943 she enlisted in the WAAC and served in New Guinea. After the war Charlotte met her lifetime dance partner and husband Paul F. Stout. They lived in the bay area before moving to Sacramento. Charlotte retired from McClellan AFB with 28 years of Federal employment. During the next 12 years she volunteered over 4, 400 hours at Kaiser. Charlotte was an avid SF Giants and 49ers fan and she enjoyed socializing with friends and family. Most recently Charlotte was a resident of Becerra Care Home. The family thanks Dina Biscos and her staff for the care and support given to our mother in the last few years; also VITAS Hospice for their devotion to Charlotte’s most recent needs. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband Paul (1988); her parents John and Helen Meyer, her brother Robert, and many dear family and friends. Charlotte is survived by twin sister Bernice, her children Joanne, Cynthia, Bruce, Yvonne, and Bobbie, their spouses, many grand, great-grand, and great great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends. She is dearly missed. Inurnment will be at East Lawn, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento. Memorial services are pending. For further information contact Bobbie at (916) 207-1313.
