Carl Edward Noss
Passed away at Kaiser South from heart complications with his children by his side on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 3:30 pm . He was born on Sunday, August 17, 1924 in Dougherty, Iowa to William and Matilda Noss. He was a resident of Sacramento for 74 years. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Irene. Survived by his 3 children, Ed Noss, Sharon Noss-Cuny, Nancy Noss-Tolk; 5 Grandchildren, Ken Noss, Trevor Tolk, Marcie Tolk, Tony Cuny, Jim Noss; 4 Great Grandchildren, Shane Murphy, Elkin Guzman, Miriam Cuny, Luke Noss; daughter-in-law Cheryl Noss and son-in-law Louis Cuny.
Carl was very proud to be a World War II veteran. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater as a amphibious vehicle “Duck” driver. Carl was a avid hunter using both rifle and bow. He loved being in the woods and hunting. He was considered one of the best Archers in California for many years and belonged to the El Dorado Hills Bowman Archery Club. His absence will be deeply felt and he will live in our hearts forever. Family and friend are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, June 14th from 4-8 pm and services will be Wednesday, June 15th 10:00 am. Viewing and Services will be held at East Lawn, Andrews and Greilich Mortuary, 3939 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento. Internment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 6700 21st Avenue, Sacramento.
