So Sorry for your loss. I just celebrated my dad’s birthday 10/17/2013 without him since he died 05/08/08 and I understand your loss. Mimi and I grew up together so I have wonderful memories of your dad. My mom and family also send their condolences.

  • Stephen Alkire says:

Bruce and Ann were always so kind and generous to me. My weekend and summer visits to the Carmichael house were among the brightest memories of my late childhood. I remember games of Sorry, warm Dr Pepper with lemon, and trips to the pool with Scott. I remember the discussions and general warm family atmosphere of the home. I remember that Bruce was appreciative of the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, and I have no doubt that he sowed the seeds of my love of Wright’s work. Bruce was very supportive when my wife and I visited on the eve or our move to Washington DC. And I will be forever grateful to him for trying to help me when I returned a few years later, looking to make a change in my life. I am so glad that my wife Joette got a chance to meet and know Bruce. And that we were able to see him later in life, on one of our infrequent trips to California. With loving memories, Cousin Stephen
