  • Mary Kay Deters says:

To Linda and the entire Thomas family. I’m sorry for your loss. Ray was a special man, and will be missed. I had the pleasure to work with Ray as part of the amazing Audits Management team with Cora as our supervisor and mentor. RIP my dear friend.

  • Cindy Del Rosario says:

Needless to say, I can’t believe your gone. I never got to say thank you in person for all your support and positive messages that helped me get through one of the toughest ordeals of my life. Keeping Linda and all your loved ones in my thoughts and prayers.

It was truly an honor to have worked with you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, always lending a friendly ear to listen and most importantly, thank you for your support.

On behalf of the Monterey Park team, rest in peace our dear friend. You may be gone from our sight but you left a mark in our hearts.

  • Liz Sandoval Romero says:

Ray you were a very special person, a true friend, so caring, compassionate and hardworking. We made such a good team in our audits work. Can’t say how sad I am that you are gone.
Sending love and support to your family.

  • Martha M Eszlinger says:

Ray, I can’t believe that you have gone to be with our Lord. God put you in my path to help me through the toughest time of my life and I am grateful for that. You used to say I made you lose your hair:) I am so blessed to have known you and will miss you, but I know that you will always be with us in memories. Linda and family, my prayers are that God will give you strength, courage, and peace. “Absent from the boday present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8).

  • Penny Caryl Davis says:

I am at a loss. It is still difficult to believe that your essence and character will only be present in our memories. You were a great person; cool under pressure; confident in your knowledge; easily offering support and friendship. You put family first and elevated friends and colleagues. To say that you will be missed is an understatement. Rest with our Lord.

  • Nancy Littlefield says:

Mrs. T and Family, I completely agree with all of the above comments about Billy Ray. I too am so blessed to have had Ray in my life as a friend, co-worker, boss and brother in the Lord. Ray was an excellent trainer and as my boss in Audits, I always felt loved, supported and respected by Ray. Ray had a way about him that made conducting audits fun. We had so many great times together doing audits.

Linda, I remember when you and Ray were dating but you didn’t want anyone to know. At first I was worried about you being with Ray because I thought he was a nice guy but was a “player” with the women and I didn’t want you to get hurt, but I watched over the months that you and Ray dated (secretly, but I knew) Ray turn into a devoted, caring and loving person and I believe the Lord brought you both together. Ray loved you, your grandchildren and daughters with all of his heart and he came to a closer relationship with our Lord because of your union. I pray the Lord blesses you and your family, that he gives you HIS peace as only Christ can and that you feel HIS loving arms around you as you lay your precious husband to rest. I wish I could be there for the services but due to me living in Arizona I can’t make the trip at this time. Sending all my love and prayers. Blessings Nancy Littlefield

  • Craig Hobson says:

    Ray,
I don’t have the words to say right now to express how much you will be missed, or how much you meant to everyone whose life you were a part of.
Life will never be quite the same without you.
The MOC will never be the same. Luckily we all have the many great memories of you to help us make it through and to go on.
My deepest condolences, love and support to Linda and the family. May the Lord give you all the strength to make it through this, and to go on with your lives.

  • Cora Dixon says:

Linda, I find writing this message very difficult. Hard to believe that Ray is gone. “Gone too soon!” However, it was indeed my pleasure to have known and worked with Ray for over 14 years. He was an excellent auditor & manager; hard-working, knowledgeable, dedicated, caring, etc. Working with him on the Audits Management team made it a pleasure to go to work every day. However, when I retired, I missed working daily with Ray & everyone on the team, & looked forward to the occasional gatherings. I will truly miss him, but grateful for his friendship.

Linda, I am truly sorry for the loss of your wonderful husband. My condolences to you and your family.
Rest In Peace, my dear friend.

    Linda and family,

It’s hard to find the words to express our sadness over Ray’s passing. I find myself thinking about him often and please know we will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

  • Phylicia Thomas and Sisters says:

    Dear Uncle Ray,
Thank you for being such a great uncle to us! You were so supportive, loving, and awesome. You were our go to for relationship advice. Our fashion guru and spender for our high school proms. You were always there for every big moment in each of our lives. We will never forget that and the impact you had in our lives by remaining who you are. Thank you for your essence. We will miss your mellow demeanor and cool cat sayings. We will forever miss the scent of your embraces, like spiced fresh air. You are forever in our hearts. We love and miss you!
    Love T5

  • Sheila Lyles says:

    Uncle Ray,
I was always glad to spend time with you. It was especially fun when you and Aunt Linda visited me in college. Somehow we found ourselves at Victoria’s Secret, you were right at home. Thank you for being there for me and my sisters. I wish we had more time together.
    Love Sheila.

  • Phillip Thomas says:

    23 Minutes

Twenty-three minutes was how long we spoke and I last heard your voice
In God’s heavenly kingdom you now rejoice

Our last twenty-three minutes of communication
God had a plan that would change our relation

Twenty-three minutes, but I pray to God we will one day have many more
I take joy in knowing that by God’s Love and Mercy you have been restored.

Rest in peace my brother. My love for you will never die

  • Shawanna Kennedy says:

    Ray,

Thank you for choosing my mother as your wife, being a bonus father to Felicia and I, a grandfather to my children and a great grandfather to my granddaughter.

I sincerely appreciate your patience, kindness, attentiveness you displayed toward our family. The way you advocated for “family first”, and unity above all things!

Thank you for your wisdom, rational thinking (when I needed it most), memories, and being there for me, I will miss you!

    Shawanna Kennedy, Bonus Daughter
