Betty was born in Fresno, CA but traveled throughout CA in her early years as her father worked for PG&E laying pipeline. She went to 26 different elementary schools before her family settled in Sacramento. She graduated from Sac High School where she met her husband to be John Sestanovich. She worked at McClellan Air Base as a Receptionist for 2 years, while Johnny served in the army. After their marriage in 1945 they had 2 children Debbe and Judy. She loved to go camping and to the Ocean. She loved her pets both past and present. 12 yrs after the death of her beloved Johnny she married Richard Wilcox. She gained a daughter & a son Judy and Rich & a very loving extended family. Richard died in 2007. While Betty was very involved with her family, she missed her husband terribly. As her health declined she was very resistant about the thought of leaving her own home where she had lived for 63 years, but thanks to a supportive family and wonderful neighbors, she was able to stay at home until she was hospitalized 3 days before her death. She will be greatly missed here but happily received in heaven by her family and friends who preceded her in death. We will be having a Celebration of Life on Sat Feb 18, between 1-3 at the Nepenthe Club House on 1131 Commons Drive.
