December 8, 1931 – August 7, 2015

Betty J. Robinson was born in Celina, Texas on December 8, 1931 to Abe and Effie Gearhart. Betty was preceded in death by her two sisters, Mary Ruth and Ina Sue and her two brothers, James A. and Warren Charles. Betty lived in Texas until the age of nine when she moved with her mother and Ina to Denver. Betty attended school in Denver and worked various jobs. She met her life partner at the Ogden Café in 1947. Thanks to the mischievous antics of her admirer, Bob Sr., they dated and were married on January 27, 1950. Bob and Betty were married 65 years, in which time they raised a family. Betty is survived by husband, Bob Sr, son Bob Jr. (Barbara) daughter’s Cheryl (Jerry) and Cristine (Kevin.) She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

    Bob, You’ve always been my little brother and we’ve thought of “Betts” as our little sister. We will remember her as a fun loving person. It seems she always had a smile on her face. We regret that we couldn’t come to visit you this year but health doesn’t permit it.(Old age),Please give our condolences to all the rest of the family. Bill & Norma

    Bob, Janell are were very sorry to hear of Betty’s death. We look back to the years when we were together at the family reunions and the times at grandma and grandpa’s house in Littleton. Those were good times of fun and happiness. We are sorry the miles and years have separated us. We hope and pray that the Lord will give you His peace in this time of sadness.

    I met Betty when her husband Bob and I became friends in the navy reserves. She had a great sense of humor, something that seemed to come natural to her, that and being married to Bob for so long, she had to have a sense of humor. She was a lovely woman, and she will be missed greatly.
