Obituary

Betty Ann Peck, of Sacramento, CA, loving wife of Joseph Anthony Peck and adoring children Anthony, Joseph and Holly, ascended into the heavens after her courageous and dignified battle with cancer on November 30th, 2015. Betty was born on July 25th, 1935 in Evansville, Indiana to Robert Weisman and Elizabeth Weisman. After high school, Betty pursued her nursing degree and was commissioned in the United States Air Force, reaching the rank of Captain. She had the joy of traveling all over Europe and while stationed in Germany met her husband Joe. While stationed together they were engaged amidst a candlelight dinner on the Moselle River. Betty and Joe were married for over 40 years until Joe died of cancer in 2007. Betty raised three children and had the joy of being a grandmother to Caden and Samantha. She worked as an OBGYN nurse throughout her career and before retirement continued to compassionately work at different convalescent homes. Betty truly personified unconditional love as she faithfully and relentlessly stood by her children throughout their joys and pains, adored her husband who was her biggest fan and walked hand in hand with her mother throughout the years until her passing. Her nurturing touch, quick wit and loving smile will be missed by all. She can now rest peacefully with all the loved ones who are waiting for her with open arms and we will join her in eternity. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, December 7, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 10:30 at The St. Lawrence Catholic Church located, 4325 Don Julio Blvd, North Highlands, CA 95660.

Dear Peck family, Please accept an expression of lovingkindness from Almighty God as he expresses his concern for your loss. At Revelation 21:4 it says “And he will wipe out every tear from their yes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Please be comforted by this Scripture that shows Almighty God has the power to get rid of our enemy Death and allow families to be together eternally without ever dying. This is a promise from the Scriptures that we can trust in that we can have life everlasting. John 17:3. Please receive a measure of comfort from our loving Heavenly Father. Sincerely, Rose Vincent

Dear Tony, Joe, and Holly, My thoughts and prayers are with you. Your Mom was a wonderful, kind person and I know she will be deeply missed. May you always hold fond memories of your time together. With Love, Natalie “Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.” Author Unknown

Obituary was beautifully written. Both your Mom & Dad would have bee very proud of it. As we worked together at Bio at McClellan. Your dad told me many times, of the story of how they met & traveled throughout Europe. He was also friends with my husband, who was the active duty Accounting & Finance Officer at McClellan AFB. ( I don’t know if you remember me or not, but I’m Susan Rose… the one that planned your dad’said retirement (as a civilan), at the restaurant in Old Sac.) We too, had been stationed in Germany, so had much in common. So very sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. She left an important mark on this world. I’m so sorry we didn’t attend the service. I have been ill myself, for the past several weeks.Just now was getting around to reading last Friday’s paper. We definitely would have attended, as we did your dad’s. We regularly visit your Dad’s gravesite. Sometimes leaving flowers or a Mikey Mouse something…since he was such a huge Disney fan.
