  • Iris Cummings Lane says:

My dear Mother, It’s been four months since you left us and I still have a big hole in my heart. I miss you terribly and am so privileged to have been your daughter. You taught me to care deeply about others, never know a stranger, love flowers, and fabric, and tea and dessert. You also loved Jesus and shared His love with many, many others. You were one of a kind for sure. You were beautiful and had a classic style all your own. You had a good sense of humor and were an excellent writer. I have found some of your writings and tucked them away to read off and on. I wish everyone could have a wonderful mother like you. You were my very best friend and were always, always, always there for me. Even when you were near the end of your life and in a lot of pain and suffering, you continued to care so much about me. I’m so very happy you were able to have a relationship with my daughter, Charity Hope. She is smart, beautiful, full of life and came to us on your birthday! Love, Iris

So many wonderful memories of Betsy and the whole Cummings family! Watching the “kids” grow up, along with my own; sharing sessions doing just about everything (fund-raising) for the Teen Challenge Auxiliary; meeting occasionally for pie(!); enjoying the “music parties” for years; seeing each other at church….and so much more. Love and God’s blessings to you Charlene, Iris and Bob Jr, along with your extended families.

  • Debbie Ross Parrish says:

As I write for all of us, (Frank, Bev, Debbie, Jacquie, Michelle and all the rest of our younger generation we have been blessed with. Anyone who ever knew Bets was always left with the deapest respect for her and her beliefs. What can any one person ever say other than how truely GREAT a person she was, to all those who knew her, she always left them with a greatest of feelings. My Dad, Frank, was always reminded that Bets was his ONLY AUNT, I will never forget our last visit before her passing, she might have not known who we all were, but the day was the greatest, especially for my dad. The picture of the two of them a week before her passing will always be charished. She will always be in our hearts. I love the way Carol told us of her passing, She just said that Bets has finally graduated. I had never heard of someone passing in that way, it had left me with the feeling of no sorrow but only her journey into the new has begun. Love the Ross’s

  • Carol Ross says:

Aunt Bets has always bigger than life to her family. Oh, the stories that make us laugh until tears roll. The hours and hours camping, visiting, loving created the rich tapestry of my memories of my Auntie. Now, she has joined Little Grandma, Hank, Dot and our beloved Unca Bob! Thank you Betsy for who you were and what you stood for.

  • Dave & Pat Denna says:
