Ashley Marie Jenkins
Jan 22, 1995 - Aug 7, 2015
Ashley Marie Jenkins was born January 22, 1995 to Shirley and Kwanza Jenkins in Sacramento, California.
Ashley attended school in the Ridgepoint, Antelope and Roseville school districts. Ashley always loved sports. She played basketball, ran track and field and played tennis. After high school, she attended Sacramento State University for two years. She was smart, adventurous and loved people. When she walked into a room, she radiated the room with her beautiful smile and dimples.
Ashley loved her parents and siblings and constantly displayed acts of love and kindness to them. She used her first bonus check to buy her Mom a barbecue grill and never said good-bye to her dad and Sherry without saying “I love-you”. She took care of her big sister Monique when she broke her foot and loved talking about how proud she was of Tunicia joining the Army and hoped to visit her soon. Although, she was thousands of miles from her baby sister Kimberly, she was the perfect big sister. Caring and compassionate, Ashley recently mailed her baby sister a present for her birthday. She was affectionately known to her family as the “PI (Private Investigator)” due to her ability to sense what was going on in each of their lives. Ashley was very affectionate, caring, and soft spoken with a big heart. She had a smile of gold with two dimples as big as diamonds and like diamonds, her personality lit up the room.
On Friday August 7, 2015 the Lord looked down on earth and picked a perfect angel to join his heavenly home. Ashley leaves behind her mother Shirley Jenkins of Sacramento, CA, Her father Kwanza Jenkins & step-mother Sherry Jenkins of San Antonio Texas. Three sisters Monique Warren of Sacramento, CA , Tunicia McDowell of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Kimberly Jenkins of San Antonio, Texas.
