Obituary

MORGAN, Arlene Kay

Arlene was born November 25, 1934 in Los Angeles, CA. and passed away July 10, 2013 in Roseville, CA.
Arlene was an extraordinary lady who always lived life to the fullest. Arlene met her one true love, Jim Morgan as a teenager in Santa Barbara, Ca. She went on to marry Jim four years later on August 8, 1953. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. After living in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Bakersfield, she and Jim settled down in Carmichael where they raised their three children. She actively participated in every activity that her children took part in, and was their biggest fan. She always encouraged them to do what ever they wanted to do whether on the playing field, or in life.
Over the course of her life she made and kept many faithful friends that were like family to her. Her door was always open to have a cup of coffee, and no one ever left her house hungry. Arlene had a long career with, and proudly retired from Mercy Hospital, where many of these friendships began. She enjoyed lovingly decorating the family home for every single holiday, and passing down the family tradi- tions to her children. Arlene was an avid Sacramento Kings fan, and enjoyed playing the slots. Her favorite place was Boomtown, but she came up a winner more often than not no matter where she played.
Arlene was proceeded in death by her parents, James C. and Katharyne Richmond, sister Barbara Martens, and her brother in law and sister in law, Lee and Mildred Morgan. She is survived, and will be terribly missed by her husband, James E. Morgan, and their children, Bryan Morgan (Suzanne), Brad Morgan (Toni) of Citrus Heights, and Tami Morgan (Wayne) of Sula, MT. She is also survived by her loving step mother, Elizabeth Richmond of Napa, CA. Her grandchildren, Mathew, Averi, Ronnie, Melissa, Zachary, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews that she was very close with. Also, Arlene always enjoyed visits from and doting on her favorite Grand-dog Missy Morgan of Sula, MT.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation for the outstanding, loving care given by the staff at The Terraces of Roseville, and Bristol Hospice. Memorial services to be held at East Lawn a date yet to be determined in August.
