Ardis Loine Gaither

November 25, 1929 – June 27, 2013

 

Ardis Gaither of Old Station, CA passed away peacefully at Palm Valley Care Facility in Elk Grove, CA where she had resided since 2010. A loving wife and mother, Ardis was predeceased by her devoted husband of 57 years, Lenoard Gaither. She was also preceded in death by her brother Mason Kirkpatrick and his wife Sandra of Modesto, CA.

 

Ardis is survived by her four children, Michael Gaither and his wife Susan of Fort Worth, TX; Sharon Barber of Elk Grove, CA; Cathleen Congdon and her husband Ray of Salmon, ID; Kirk Gaither and his wife Vicki of Redding, CA. She is also survived by her siblings Ronald Kirkpatrick of Beaverton, OR; Dona Stolman and her husband Jerry of Gridley, CA; Dale Kirkpatrick and his wife Helen of Washougal, WA; Warren Kirkpatrick and his wife Martha of San Dimas, CA.

 

Ardis’s legacy also includes 15 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters.

Ardis was born in Phillips, NE and grew up in Live Oak, CA. She lived most of her married life in Old Station, CA where she served as Postmaster for 38 years. Ardis enjoyed traveling, square-dancing, and sewing. She loved spending time visiting with her children and many grandchildren. Ardis lived a long, meaningful life and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
