Amy passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 21, 2014 at the age of 94. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, William, of 61 years. Survived by her four children, Candice (Kelly Fong), Dennis, Janice (Randy Wong), and Kathy (George Wong); four grandchildren, Richlin (Jereen), Dennis “Bam” (Christy), Hilaire Fong, and Kathryn Fong; four great-grandchildren, Kayla, Amie, William, and Kingston; and faithful pet, Toby. Also preceded in death by her siblings, James Cheung, Connie Chinn, and Louise Gee. Also survived by sister Dorothy Lim, brother Herbert Cheung (Jennie) and many loving nieces and nephews. Amy Holman Cheung was born in Grass Valley on July 24, 1919. She was the proud owner of Amy’s Gift Shop in Sacramento before retiring to take care of her grandsons. Amy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid mahjong player and a big fan of NBA players Yao Ming and Tim Duncan. She was a very social, warm, caring person with a smile that lit up the room. Amy was loved by all who knew her and will remain in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held at Harry A. Nauman & Son, 4041 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento on May 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.
