Obituary

Rich, Alva Francis 86, born in Arkansas, son of of Harry Fred and Arminda (Bean) Rich, passed away in his home in Sloughouse CA on May 21st 2015.
He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia ( Harding-Hall) -Rich, eight brothers- Arless, Elza, Orvin, Estel, Lawrence, Verlin, Emerald, Thurman and his children Harry, Teresa and Donna.
Alva is survived by his four grandchildren and six great grandchildren, all living in the Sacramento area.
Alva came to California in the late 1940s to work as a rancher and raise his family. He also owned many businesses, including a cattle ranch, an antique store and a card room “Villa Club” in West Sacramento.
He then became a real estate investor and never really retired.
He enjoyed playing poker, traveling and watching all types of sports. His favorite vacation spot was Lake Tahoe but he also loved going home for annual reunions to visit family in Stilwell Oklahoma.
Alva had the most amazing sense of humor always cracking jokes and making everyone laugh.
His kind heart and loving spirit will be greatly missed by his family and friends

    I will greatly miss you Uncle Alva-You truly were loved by everyone who knew you. I will always remember how excited I was for your visits to Oklahoma when I was a small girl as well as just last year when I was so blessed to spend a week with you. Thanks for leaving me with so many great memories. Sad times for us left behind-so wish I could be there for the service- thoughts and prayers for the grandkids and great-grandkids.
