Agnes E. Saba, age 83, of Rancho Cordova, California passed away peacefully on August 20,2020. She was born in Sacramento, California on November 6, 1936, the daughter of Benjamin and Nona Ogar.
Agnes married Don Saba in 1957, and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in March 2017. They had many common interests such as family, friends, and their faith; as well as their love of animals, sports, and the outdoors. Agnes graduated from high school in Sacramento, and later earned a Bachelors degree from Sacramento State University. She obtained her Teaching Credential, and became a second grade teacher at Cordova Lane Elementary School in Rancho Cordova, CA. She was a Secretary at Aerojet, and later worked in her husband’s Optometric Office as
the Manager. Agnes was a hard worker, and was known all her life to be genuine, kind, and funny. She will be missed by many. In addition to her husband Don, Agnes is predeceased by her parents and brother, Robert Ogar. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan (Michael) Swanson, and Donelle (Kenneth) Snell, four grandchildren Valerie (Swanson) Laredo (Josef), Christine, Daniel, and Elizabeth Snell; two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Briana Laredo, sister-in-law Lois Ogar, and four nieces, Virginia, Roberta, Cyndi, and Barbara. A celebration of life and remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2020 at East Lawn Mortuary. Visitation will be held prior to the celebration of life at East Lawn Mortuary from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m., 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento, CA 95841. In lieu-of flowers, please consider a donation in Agnes’ memory to The Alzheimer’s Foundation at www.alzfdn.org/

    Agnes you were a 2nd Mom to me when growing up. You always included me in family fun. I have great memories of going camping and going to the symphony with you and your family.     Agnes always made me feel that I was just the person she wanted to see, whenever I approached. Her face would light up and she would break into a big, lovely smile. She made me feel really special, though I watched her greet others in the same way.
