Sara Torfin

On January 21, 2020 Sara Torfin, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away just shy of her 93rd birthday. Sara was born in Omaha Nebraska February 8, 1927 and was a child of the Great Depression. She carried lessons learned from growing up during this era throughout her life. On September 2, 1949 she married Vincent Torfin USAF. Together they raised four daughters, Victoria, Jacqueline, Valerie and Karen. Sara was a strong and independent woman ahead of her time. She made lifelong friends wherever she lived. Family and fiends were always her top priority. Sara had a passion for her family, golf, bowling and any card or board game and was almost impossible to beat. She stayed sharp until the very end using her computer skills to make spreadsheets, send email, and stay connected to family and friends on Facebook. Sara was preceded in death by her husband Vince. She is survived by her four daughters, Victoria (Edie), Jacqueline (Paul), Valerie (David), Karen her grandson Erik Torfin, granddaughters Allison Raile and Breana Uechi, sister Charlene Rush and many beloved nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren and was a den mother to many. Sara requested no services and wanted everyone in her life to remember her in their own way and celebrate the good times they shared.
