Ronald Riggs

Ronald “Ron” Russell Riggs passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Kaiser Hospital. He was born on November 23, 1947 to Bill and Georgia Riggs, and was the youngest of three children. Ron graduated from Sacramento High School in 1965. After graduating, Ron started working for PG&E, where he stayed until retiring in 2004. In September of 1971 Ron married the love of his life, Nancy (Ozanich). Ron and Nancy moved to Elk Grove in October of 1978. They spent over 50 wonderful years together traveling and making memories with their two daughters and four grandchildren. Ron was an amazing brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend and neighbor. Ron is preceded in death by his oldest sister Barbara Walker. He is survived by his wife Nancy Riggs, daughters Shellie Elrod (Jennings) and Shannon Robinson (Frank), grandkids - Kaitlyn & Baylee Elrod and Isabella & Silas Robinson, and sister Sharon Houghton. Ron had a wonderful sense of humor and a passion for the great outdoors. He spent most of his free time hunting, fishing, whale watching, and golfing. He touched a lot of lives and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
