Raquel "Rocky" Beldad

Raquel “Rocky” Villacorta Beldad, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, California surrounded by his wife and daughters. Rocky was born in Dalaguete, Cebu, Philippines to Teodosio Carin Beldad and Abundia Villacorta Beldad on January 2, 1953. He studied Criminology at University of the Visayas in Cebu City, Philippines. In 1990, he earned a certification in Business Management at International Management Executive Center (IMEC) in Makati, Philippines. On November 27, 1981, he married the love of his life Gloria Digal Beldad in Cebu City, Philippines. They had three daughters: Wendy, Karen Kate, and Lor Rachael. Rocky was a devoted and supportive father. He worked at Manila Pest Control (MAPECON) for 18 years, then opened his own company, Cebu Pest Control (CEPESCO), in 1989. With his family, Rocky immigrated to America in January 1998. After spending a few years in South Lake Tahoe, he ultimately landed in Elk Grove, California where he called home until his death. Rocky joins his parents, Teodosio and Abundia Beldad and his two brothers, Arturo and Jerito in heaven. Rocky is survived by his wife, Gloria Beldad; his daughters and their spouses, Wendy and Jeremy Hall, Karen Beldad, and Lor Rachael and James Di Donato; and his siblings, Ramses and Teresita Beldad, Oliver and Marites Beldad, Rebecca Beldad, Ganter Beldad, Wilfredo and Lilia Beldad, Sincera and Rufio Carin, Ildebrando and Alma Beldad, Norman and Janet Beldad and Roldan Beldad. Throughout his life, Rocky was always surrounded by family and friends. His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by many. He was always willing to help anyone and everyone that needed his assistance or expertise. He enjoyed traveling to places that were once just in his dreams, loved watching basketball, and never missed the opportunity to cook when all three of his daughters were together. Visitation will be at 5pm on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at East Lawn Elk Grove Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday, February 21, 2020 at East Lawn Elk Grove with Father Jovito Rata officiating.
