He was a decorated veteran of WWII, serving in England with the 8th Air Force (Army Air Corps). Curley retired from military service in 1974 as a Chief Master Sergeant assigned to the 940th Military Airlift Group at McClellan AFB, Sacramento. Elks Lodge #2103. A proud native of Louisiana, Curley's Cajun heritage instilled in him a love of people and the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and especially the people around him. His zest for life, charm, love of people, and storytelling will forever be remembered by family and everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

He is also survived by brothers Eluse Dugas and Reno Dugas of Erath, Louisiana, and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
