Stanley Frank Kuk, age 83, was born to Otto Sr. and Emma (Weigum) Kuk on December 9, 1931 in Beulah, North Dakota. He was the sixth of eight children. He had a happy childhood & loved school, but hated arithmetic. He worked on the farm until he was 18 and went on to his first job erecting a power plant on Chaffee Rd. He joined the Army on February 20, 1951 and was stationed at Camp Cooke in California as a Private E2 for a year until he developed rheumatic fever. He was then Honorably Discharged and spent the next year in the hospital. Stan was a patriotic man and loved everything "made in the USA".

On December 16, 1960, he married his sveetie (no typo  that's what he always called his beloved wife), Rose Marie Schnaidt, in Beulah, North Dakota. In 1962, after no work was to be found in their home state, he and his bride moved to Sacramento, CA where he lived until his final days. Stanley worked for Sears Roebuck & Co. for 31 yrs. Once he retired in 1993, he worked for Hertz Car Rental for 3 yrs. and then on to Avis Car Rental for 17 yrs., part time, transporting cars from rental station to rental station in nearby cities. He liked part time because he could take vacations when HE wanted to – LOL

Stanley was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He told us once that the "life changing moment" for him was when he accepted Christ as his Savior.

Stanley loved spending time with his family and his church family. He always looked forward to the monthly dinners with several couples from Zion. He loved to fish, hunt, camp & watch Professional Bull Riding. His favorite show was Mollie B Polka Dancing. His favorite vacations were to North Dakota where he enjoyed fishing with his brother in laws Larry & Delton Schnaidt. After retirement, his all time favorite vacation was when they traveled to Alaska in their fifth wheel.
Friends are welcome for a Memorial Service on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11:00AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 3644 Bolivar Avenue, North Highlands, California.
