Obituary for Wesley Wayne Scivally

It is with great sadness that the family of Wesley Wayne Scivally, known to friends and family as "Wayne," announces his passing on Monday, June 4, 2018, at the age of 75 years.

A native of Oklahoma, Wayne grew up in northern California and joined the U.S. Army in 1963. Wayne served in the 101st Airborne Division and the Vietnam War. He retired with 24 years of military service after his last assignment with the California National Guard's 126th Medical Company (Air Ambulance).

Wayne's military awards and decorations include a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Parachute Badge, and Air Medal.

Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his ex-wife and friend Bonnie and his children Charmin (Steve) and John. He will also be remembered by his three grandchildren, Brady, Dillon, and Carter; by his mother Opal Murphy; his sister Linda Beatty; his brother Jeff Murphy; his wife’s extended family including the Le and Nguyen families; and numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne was predeceased by his father Payne Scivally, his sister Charmin Greathouse, and his brother Jay Scivally.

A graveside military service and interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA 95620.
