Obituary for Henry Tsan Chau

Tsan Chau, better known as Henry to his friends and family, peacefully passed away on May 26, 2018 at the age of 79, surrounded by loved ones. Henry resided in Maine most of his adult life, but recently moved to sunny Elk Grove, California to enjoy a well-deserved retirement from 40 long years in the restaurant business. Before that, he served as a Sargent in the Republic of China Armed Forces, as both a sharp shooter and radio repairman.

Henry was fortunate enough to work at his dream job, which was seeing his regular customers who would frequent his restaurants, making new friends from unsuspecting customers and turning them into life long patrons and best friends. These customers were his second family, we suspect many of his patrons didn't go to the restaurant to eat, but to enjoy his company. Henry's first family was never too far away, as they all worked at the restaurant with him. His children include 2 daughters, 1 son and 6 amazing grandchildren.

His passion included tearing apart products, making machines better than new, tinkering, starting up several successful businesses and selling them to others, so other people could enjoy and finish what he started. When not feeding hungry families, his hobbies included playing tennis, watching American staged wrestling, working out, attending church and making new friends wherever he went. Henry will be forever missed by his wife Michelle, friends, his family and all of the customers who miss his awesome food and companionship.
