George Cavros

November 27, 1926 — December 7, 2017

George Cavros Passed away at his home on December 7th, 2017. He was born in Sacramento on November 27, 1926 and has lived in Sacramento for his entire life. George attended Sacramento High School, St. Mary's College and graduated from UC Berkeley in 1950. He served his country during World War II as a Technical Sergeant in the US Army. After his military service and college education, he worked for the California Legislature. George then embarked on his successful 50+ year career in Real Estate. George was preceded in death by his twin sister, Gloria Sullivan (John), his parents Gus and Kathryn Cavros, his brother Ted Cavros, sister-in-law Sherry Cavros, nephew Steve and niece Michelle. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Susan Rothenberg (Ron), and his devoted son Mark Cavros( Brigitte), his first wife and friend Joann Cavros, his loving brother Mike Cavros and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Fala, Eunice, and Mafi for their loving care. George will be remembered for his love of family, generosity, sense of humor and kindness. He was an avid bird hunter, world traveler, reader, and loved to fish. He was a friend of Bill W. Donations in George's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Assn. (alz.org) Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 20th, 10:00 AM, in the Chapel of East Lawn Memorial Park, 4300 Folsom Bl., Sac., CA 95819
