Obituary for Alexander Brian Colford

Born on October 1st, 1996, Alexander Brian Colford was welcomed into the world as a sweet, energetic child, whose smile and bright red hair touched all hearts who met him. He left our world on February 1, 2018.
He had a magnetic personality and excellent sense of humor that drew people to him in love and friendship. He was always great with children; playing with and helping younger kids in the neighborhood, as well as creating trusting relationships with many special-needs kids.
He was a gifted athlete. He swam with The Marlins Swim Team, and played his beloved basketball throughout his school years. He was a bright student eager to learn all things.
Alex is loved as a precious son, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Dan and Karen Colford, his sister, Abbi, his grandparents, James and Shirley Colford and Diane B. Robarge, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
We all miss him dearly. Losing someone so young is more than painful than one can imagine. This grief is overwhelming, exhausting, and emotionally, physically, and spiritually draining. We will never be the same. Please consider making a donation in Alex’s name to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to help stop this from happening to anyone else we love.

Warm Summer Sun
By Mark Twain

Warm summer sun,
Shine kindly here,
Warm southern wind,
Blow softly here.
Green sod above,
Lie light, lie light.
Good night, dear heart,
Good night, good night.
